Managing a man is too much work

There is nothing more disgusting than a Hindu woman arguing in favor of polygamy and child marriage. I hope you are doing it for twitter followers’ approval only. But if you are serious, you need immediate mental care help.
My initial tweet came from a middle class working woman saying that she won’t mind another woman in her house. Maybe she is scared of being replaced by younger woman 🤷🏻‍♀️

An interesting thought experiment is to see what women prefer in real life. How many women choose to be mistresses of rich men rather than wives of poor men. Even wives of rich men choose to live with cheating men. I am not in favour of polygamy but this is not a B&W subject
Poor families who need to care for women who have no interest in higher education or a viable career have to protect their daughters from eloping or getting involved with wrong company. Marriage is often a better solution
Well....my point is, first of all it is not the govt’s business to decide such personal things. Secondly the assumption that govt cares more than parents is wrong. Thirdly, how do you know the size of the problem?
The only reason I put forth my tweets was to indicate there are several points of view. It is necessary to think about them rather then holding a naive view of a perfect world or that we understand better than everyone else

All I am saying is that is an assumption being made on behalf of women.....not necessarily proven by their behaviour.
Secondly, age of marriage is a different thing in urban educated families and in poor uneducated ones. The government should fix an age of consent to be able to punish pedophilia but should not criminalize early marriages where those are more practical

I think I know whom u r talking about. And that's becoz of followers . Followers and MALE validation. See the grin when some males will come to that tweet praising her dharmikta.

She said she’d want it. I have heard Muslims say this. Managing a man is too much work for one woman.

Sex and procreation is not the only expectation out of a marriage. That is why becoming a bride has more connotations. Also in theory all this sounds great because we think marriage is faultless institution.
But does not play out like that. So let the task force present findings

And yes, sex and marriage are linked in India and teenage pregnancies are still on the rise. So health wise not much changes. Infact some learnings from African countries could be used here.
State bears the burden of healthcare but should not intervene in choices!!! Why?

This is what I find problematic. The automatic assumption that getting married at 20 is so much of a health hazard that the State must ban it. But having sex, STDs & kids at 20 is fine, so the State must NOT increase the age of consent!

reminds me of a turkish movie i watched while travelling. the lady cudnt handle housework plus husbands aggressive sexual needs so went and got another wife for him to have sex with daily.. :D
it was actually a good movie on triple talak.. they used three stories to show how tt is misused in islamic world. one of the stories was this. the lady was marketing her husband's big dick to the would be second wife :D.

staying in a cheating/bad marriage is a Indian mental conditioning. however, it would be interesting if a lady willingly wants her husband to cheat or have another wife.. I wonder what could the situation be for a woman to want that?
hillary stayed married because it was the easy choice, but given a choice, would she like her husband to cheat? would anyone like their husband to cheat?

First, can I just say that all of you (and me) are from the same socio-economic and cultural backgrounds. India is very diverse. Many tribal traditions still have both polygamy and polyandry. Women are not only compromising but willing participants in both systems.

Second, as @Moskvaa pointed, the person the men are cheating with are also women. Most of those women are also willing participants in this “cheating”. Monogamy in ancient society was recommended but polygamy is practiced even today. Consensual polygamy in Hindus is NOT illegal.
So if the first wife does not file a criminal complaint against the husband for bigamy, the state cannot prosecute because no one else has locus standi. Second wife is not recognized per law so inheritance is affected but that can be remedied by making a will.
Many prominent personalities have pulled this off. So many politicians especially down south. Lastly, there can be many situations where people willingly get into polygamy, polyandry setups and they already do. So I agree with Penguin bhabhi, that it happens already.

If he's bringing a younger one, the first gets to keep half his money right? Isn't that precisely why divorce laws exist, so that men cannot exploit a woman's lack of option/financial dependence, to coerce her into accepting a sub-par life?
