There is a bias for preferred values. It just happens that the West is not homogeneous, nor is India. It is all out in the open. Apologists exist in all hues, countries. We live in a post Trump World.

Academics have serious disagreements between themselves. Biases can be based on values and definitions. Why should we trust one academic over another? Make it apples on apples be it journalists or academics. Both have their processes and limitations.
